It also depends on facilities services including decontamination, catering and laundry, as well as infection prevention and control practices and ongoing research.
The professionals responsible for this work span different disciplines, reporting lines and boards, and rarely have the opportunity to come together in one place.
Scotland’s Healthcare Environment brings them together for a single day of knowledge sharing, the latest practice and honest case studies, alongside an exhibition showcasing the specialists and organisations that help deliver this vital work.

Delivering safe, high-quality healthcare environments requires collaboration across many disciplines. Estates, engineering, capital planning, infection prevention and control, facilities services, and clinical teams all play a vital role in supporting patient care and outcomes. While these professions often work towards the same goals, opportunities to come together and share learning can be limited.
This conference provides a valuable forum to do just that.
